Healthy eyes and vision start with a yearly comprehensive eye exam. This exam goes above and beyond a routine vision check-up. We will use a variety of tests and specialized equipment to determine overall eye health. Regular eye exams help to detect eye diseases that can lead to vision loss. Even if your vision seems great, regular eye exams can help to detect other health issues such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Throughout your visit, your optometrist might recommend glasses or contact lenses to help your refractive error (nearsighted, farsighted, astigmatism, presbyopia), medications, or surgical procedures. If any additional testing or care is needed, a follow-up will be scheduled!
Are you due for your annual exam? Our doctors recommend an initial exam between the ages of 6-12mo. Usually a vision exam is then recommended around age 3 depending on the findings of that initial exam. Comprehensive vision exams become a yearly part of your routine starting in Kindergarten.
If you haven’t had your first exam, or it has been over a year, there is no time like the present! Give us a call or head on over to the appointment page to book your appointment!
