Ben Gootee

Dr. Ben Gootee graduated from Purdue University in 2012 and completed the Optometry program at IU School of Optometry in 2016. He worked for a brief time for a large practice in Nashville, TN then had the chance to move back home in 2018. Since then he has split time between private practice in Brown County and teaching students in the clinic at the Optometry School. He is comfortable addressing all types of vision issues with the latest technology available for glasses and contacts. He also has plenty of experience with the medical side of optometry and can expertly manage ocular surface disease, retinal issues, pre and post operative care, injuries/emergencies, and age-related eye disease.

When he is not checking eyes, Dr. Gootee spends time with his wife, Kelsey, and two boys, Lucas and Parker. Whenever possible they try to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, fishing, or kayaking. Dr. Gootee is looking forward to seeing you in our Columbus location.
