Chad Coats

Dr. Chad Coats is a Bloomington native and graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Coats practiced in Bowling Green, Kentucky for six years before moving to Connersville, Indiana where he spent the next seven years. During his time in Kentucky, Dr. Coats enjoyed working with the Western Kentucky University football and baseball teams. In Connersville, he enjoyed working in a small town. Clinically Dr. Coats enjoys managing cataracts, glaucoma, and fitting contact lenses. He is well versed in fitting soft and RGP lenses. He also fits scleral lenses for certain conditions including keratoconus.

Outside of the office, Dr. Coats enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashlee, and sons Nolan and Gannon, along with their dogs and cats. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, and the outdoors. Book your appointment with Dr. Coats in our Bedford location today.
