Sidney Magdaong

Dr. Magdaong (or Dr. Mag, for short) was raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame in 2019, then graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2024 (so he is basically a Hoosier at this point!). Dr. Mag was an associate instructor for Geometric Optics and Visual Optics in optometry school and was voted Associate Instructor of the Year for his role in teaching students. He is nearly finished completing his residency in Primary Care with an emphasis in Ocular Disease at Atwater Eye Care Center in Bloomington, IN. Dr. Mag enjoys managing all types of conditions, including urgent care red eyes, dry eye, and low vision.

Dr. Mag is the drummer for the rock band, Rose Bengál, consisting of his former optometry school classmates. His band has played in several venues ranging from garage concerts, The Bluebird in Bloomington, and national optometry conferences. You can find Dr. Mag at our Ellettsville location during the week.
